eulerCharacteristic -- sum of the lengths of the even degree homology minus the odd degree homology groups

Synopsis

Usage:

m = eulerCharacteristic F
Inputs:
- F, a chain complex,
Outputs:
- m, an integer,

Caveat

Returns an error if any homology has infinite length
