columnAdd -- add a multiple of one column to another

• Usage:

  columnAdd(m,i,a,j)

• Inputs:
  • m, a mutable matrix
  • i, an integer
  • a, a ring element, in the same ring as m
  • j, an integer
• Consequences:

  • The i th column of m is modified by adding a times the j th column of m

i1 : R = ZZ[a..f];

i2 : m = mutableMatrix genericMatrix(R,a,2,3)
